Intensive Instruction

Intensive instruction is available for people who want to immerse themselves in the practice of SAORI within a shorter period of time. As SAORI becomes more popular in the United States and throughout the world, it is important for SAORI practitioners to connect with each other, in person, sharing, weaving, and learning together in the spirit of Misao Jo's teachings.

Due to the limited number of SAORI studios in the U.S., it is common for SAORI practitioners to travel in order to study in a registered SAORI studio.

Whether you live in the Greater Austin area or are visiting from out of town, intensive sessions are an effective way to get hands-on instruction within the studio environment.

How the intensive works

Prior to your visit, we will discuss what you would like to work on during your intensive. Based on this conversation, a plan will be created to guide your intensive, and ensure that your interests and goals are addressed.

During the intensive, you will alternate from working closely with the instructor to working independently.

Intensives are available over the course of one to three days, in multiple two or three hour sessions per day. Lunch and rest breaks are incorporated into the schedule. Intensive instruction is available for two or more people at an adjusted rate; please inquire with the studio.
