Laura Poll was first introduced to the weaving arts in New York City, where she studied under the guidance of Yukako Satone and Rumiko Torii.

In 2015, Laura traveled to Osaka, Japan for product training. She became a certified instructor and was offered the Southwest U.S. distribution account for Sakaiseikisangyo Co. Ltd.

She accepted this opportunity and relocated to Austin. Her studio was warmly embraced by the community and received recognition from the Austin-American Statesman as “The Best of Austin Arts.”

Laura has received instruction at several prominent studios in the U.S. and Japan. She brings over 500 hours of supervised experience to her teaching practice and has received extensive training on the proper use of Sakaiseikisangyo products.

In recognition of her artistic skills and professional commitment, Laura was invited to join the SARICO Leader’s Committee, a selective organization of artists and instructors based in Osaka, Japan.
