Classes are held throughout the week. Online registration for Introduction to SAORI Weaving is preferred. If you would like to take the introductory class on a day or time not available online, please contact the studio to schedule class directly. All other classes should be scheduled directly with the studio to ensure each student receives proper attention.

How do classes work?

Additional studio classes

Studio Time - $36+

Studio Time is designed for students who want to work on a project over multiple sessions without committing to the full process of warping, by offering students the option to weave on a fully prepared studio warp (often black cotton).

Studio Time is $18/hour, with a minimum commitment of two hours per session. Classes are scheduled directly with the studio. Materials fee is additional. Ongoing projects will be held at the studio and are fully subject to the studio policies. There is currently no surcharge for using a studio warp. Prerequisite: Introductory Class

Students who want to make their own warp should register for the Advanced Class.

Zen Weaving - $80

Spend the day relaxing in the studio and enjoying the practice of SAORI. Zen Weaving is a self-guided session. The loom will be fully prepared and ready for use. Participants will be shown the basics of operating the loom, including winding bobbins and advancing the warp, and will have full access to all studio yarns and fibers. While guests weave independently during the session, the instructor will always be available to offer assistance.

Projects will be created on a black warp and will be taken home at the end of the session. Zen Weaving offers 6 hours of studio time. There is no prerequisite. Materials fee is additional.

Please contact the studio to schedule your session.
